Technology Adoption Survey 2023

West Central Region of Bhutan

This report presents the findings of a comprehensive agricultural technology adoption survey conducted in the west central region of Bhutan—specifically in the Dzongkhags of Paro, Haa, Chhukha, and Thimphu. Carried out by the National Centre for Organic Agriculture in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and funded by the AFACI RATES Project, the study assesses the types and extent of agricultural technologies adopted by farmers. It also explores key influencing factors, motivational drivers, challenges to adoption, and future aspirations related to agricultural technologies, providing insights to guide policy and development efforts in the region​
