Module 06: Strengthening the Management Capacity of POSLUHDES
Policies and Practices for Edible Mushroom Farming
The content outlines the 2021–2024 horticultural strategy, emphasizing production capacity, local food diversification, export competitiveness, and modernization through digital systems. It details major mushroom species cultivated in Indonesia—including Jamur Merang (straw mushroom), Jamur Tiram (oyster mushroom), Jamur Kuping (wood ear mushroom), and Jamur Champignon (button mushroom)—and highlights key producing regions such as Karawang, Subang, Bantul, Malang, and Aceh.
Practical sections guide participants through all production phases: media preparation, sterilization, seeding (inokulasi), incubation, harvest, and post-harvest handling. The module also explains the Kubung Jamur (mushroom houses) standard designs supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, including construction dimensions, material standards, and yield capacity benchmarks.
A featured case study on Berkah Jamur Karawang showcases successful community-driven mushroom agripreneurship, covering aspects such as group organization, production capacity, product branding (‘Mushome Crunchy’), and national training participation. The overall objective is to develop POSLUHDES as a rural learning and innovation center supporting modern, eco-friendly, and profitable mushroom farming enterprises.
